How many sessions will I need?

This will be determined in your initial consultation. The amount of sessions required depends on your skin type, the area, and skin concern, being treated. Generally, a full course of Dermapen4 Microneedling will consist of approximately 4-8 sessions, spaced 4-8 weeks apart.

When will I see the results?

Thanks to the superior features of the Dermapen 4, you can see a noticeable glow in your skin a few days after your first session. Permanent changes in your skin will be visible after 3–6 prescribed treatments by our Doctors. The sessions are typically spaced 4 to 8 weeks in between. Is there any aftercare?

Aftercare for Dermapen microneedling is crucial to ensure optimal results and promote proper healing. Immediately post-treatment, you should avoid direct sun exposure where possible and apply a high-SPF sunscreen such as our CKC Sun50 to protect the skin. Refrain from using harsh skincare products, including exfoliants, retinoids and alcohol-based toners, for at least a week to prevent irritation. Keep the skin moisturised with gentle, hydrating products, such as our CKC Skin Soothe, to support your skin’s healing process. Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and hot showers for the first 48 hours, as excessive heat and sweating can irritate the skin. You must also maintain a clean environment to prevent infection and allow the micro-injuries to heal effectively. Following these aftercare guidelines will help ensure that you achieve the best Dermapen microneedling results possible.

Are there any side effects, downtime or pain involved?

Dermapen4 treatment has minimal pain but it is not pain-free. You will experience a mild sunburn feeling. Skin may look red and have blood spotting for a few days. Minor itching, flaking and hot flushes during the skin healing process is normal but if symptoms persist, or you are concerned, please call the clinic.
